ABOUT US

We are a family-owned business from a livestock farming background spanning well over three decades.

Given the demands of the modern marketplace, we decided to market and sell the products derived from our finest herd of Iberian black pigs directly to the consumer, mainly on the Internet selling throughout Spain and all over Europe.

In Sanjamon we sell top quality products.

We can absolutely guarantee traceability of all our meat products, in this way the consumer is fully informed about the origin of the pigs, where they were bred and how exactly our products make their final destination on to your kitchen table.

We apply our knowledge and experience gained over the past ten years in the breeding and selection of the very best Iberian black pigs.

We know that only the very best Iberian black pigs can produce the very best hams.

All our products are cured and produced in Guijuelo.

The microclimate of this region is characterised by cold winters and short, mild summers; the landscape and the climate thereby lend themselves to providing optimum conditions for a very special and distinctive curing.

The production area of the pigs, whose hind legs and shoulders are suitable for making hams and shoulder blade hams, is protected by the Denomination of Origin and stretches over holm and cork oak grazing lands of the agricultural regions of the provinces of: Salamanca, Ávila, Zamora, Segovia, Caceres, Badajoz, Seville, Córdoba, Huelva, Ciudad Real and Toledo.

The region of production covers an extensive area of seventy seven municipalities, all located in the south-eastern province of Salamanca.
