These hams are obtained from our pure bred Iberian pigs fed on a diet of cereals including barley, wheat, corn and soy.
The result is a high quality product with an excellent aroma and look.
These hams have been cured for 24 months in the most traditional manner.
PACKAGING
This product gets wrapped in greaseproof paper and then inserted into a cotton bag which is placed inside a special box designed for our hams.
STORAGE AND CONSUMPTION SUGGESTIONS
These products do not need any special storage for it to keep perfectly. It can be kept at room temperature.
Once you have started to slice this product, then you should consume it within six weeks. It is advisable to place on the exposed meat some of the fat trimmed off the very leg so as to inhibit the loss of any aroma or flavor.
It is recommended that the product be consumed within six months of receiving it.

Although it should be noted that jamónes are prized both for their smooth texture and rich, savory taste. A good ibérico ham has regular flecks of intramuscular fat (marbling). Because of the pig's diet of acorns, much of the fat is oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that has been shown to lower LDL cholestrol and raise HDL cholesterol. Having said that, San Jamón will not provide refunds for ham with perceived excess fat.
